It turned out Tuesday was not as bad for Peter as I thought. I went in at 4pm, and Peter began to cry at the first sight of mommy. But then he threw a big smile, with tears still on his cheek to his teacher, when she said"you were fine..". He was OK, good lunch and nap again in spite of the rough morning when parents coming in and out dropping off. I took the happy kids to the library afterwards and Peter sure had a good time (playing), plus we got the "brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?" book. However, the night was a nightmare. Peter did not go to sleep in the crib peacefully, instead, he began to scream after two minutes I left the room. So he ended up falling sleep on big bed and being put back in crib, and he woke up twice in the middle of night.
I did not go as early on Wednesday, wishing he could use some time in the playground. He was sitting in the sandbox with Sarah(one of his teacher) when I arrived, and gave me a quick sad face. But he was fine afterwards. Unexpectly, I was told he had a rough day, being very sensitive and clingy to the teacher. Well, it seemed to get worse. His night routine was totally destroyed, I did not even have the courage to try putting him in the crib since he was already whining after bath. He woke up several times last night, making sure mommy was with him(I decided to co-sleep with him to ease his fear of mommy-being-gone.)
This morning drop-off was nothing better. He began to fight before we got to the daycare building door and after reading the brown-bear book, he settled down a bit, but still cried when the teacher took him from me.---I am feeling upset, how long will this last? Maybe i should not have transftered him here in the first place?
Yaya, on the other hand, is much better. Tuesday, the teacher told me "she is a darling" and then yesterday"she is really a good helper". I know she is good and teachers always like kids who behave. She was excited about Wednesday "the share day"(show and tell) and according to her, she has made two new friends--Sophie and Hana. Hana even came up to her this morning to greet her. Overall she is still in the state of excitement, I hope her high spirit can last.
As a side note, Yaya seems to really into math these days. The scope of addition and substraction she can do is enlarging and she is doing math by herself even in the car.
