Such parents

I was complaining to a friend about Peter's never-growing and fat feet during the gathering on Thanksgiving night. She told me her son, too have a pair of small feet--size 6. I said "Peter can still wear size 5." My friend said she could not believe it. Then each of us grabbed our own son and began to compare their feet. Well, Peter's feet are much fatter, and morever, his feet seemed bigger than the other boy. The next day, I took out a pair of size 7 shoes and tried them on Peter. Of course, our boy fought hard and screamed like hell, as he always hates change. But once the shoes were on him, he seemed to enjoy it and never had a single complaint ever since. Not only that, he walks well and the occasional falls from the old shoes disppear. Now I know how miserable Peter's fat feet must have been, stuck in that shoes of two size smaller.

I feel ashamed of myself being such an "insensitive" mom.
