Please don't happen yet, i don't think i am ready

I am afraid Peter is hitting the "terrible two" phase now. Already? Oh, No! But, yes!

I asked the teachers today at pick-up about whether they have noticed it, Nicole said yes after a little thought, but Esmeralda said no. Then, we had this episode. Peter wanted to be read over again the book "if you are happy and you know it", and Esmeralda kindly did it for him and other kids. Then the rest of the class needed to move over to the 2's room since it was time for combining. But, Peter could not let go of his book. "No, mine....." Well, I guess at that moment Esmeralda realized it. Finally I was able to convince Peter that I would read the same book at home tonight since we got the exact one too and he finally reluctantly let the teacher put the book away to finish their clean-up. Afterwards, we began to fight over leaving, exactly like Monday.

Me: Let's wash you up and go get Yaya, OK?
Peter: No, noooooo...
Me: (gave up after several rounds of trying)then, let's put on your jacket, OK? It is cold outside.
Peter: No, no no no....
I tried to force it on, but could not. In the end, Nicole had to step up and tell Peter she is closing(she turned all the lights off) and he needed to be out of the classroom.

We finally got home, but there we go again, Peter wanted to stay in the cold and not entering the door. Instead of begging and threatening like yesterday, today I went for a walk outside with him. Later Yaya led him home by holding his hand. Oh, phew.....

Of course we did not want to bathe, go to bed, but fortunately the same book "if you are happy and you know it" saved me.

Like what I told the teachers, "I know it is perfectly normal, but I just wish it could happen a little later."
