Wake-up cry

I don't even remember when this started. It has lasted for at least a week or even longer. Every time Peter wakes up from his sleep (day nap/night sleep)at home, we spent the first 10-20 minutes "enjoying" his high-pitch crying/screaming. I can not help but thinking, is it his wired personality or is it us, who did not try hard enough to help/distract him? Because this morning, he was crying by himself on the floor when Yaya finally said "mommy, can you turn on the TV, maybe he will stop then". I did so and Peter became quiet all of a sudden to watch Barney. Ugh.....
