Peter's pick for his life

Lei insisted that we need to give Peter a try on a traditional Chinese game. It was supposed to be held on the day when he turned one, but at that time(Mar. 22nd), the whole family was still recovering from being sick. So we made it up this weekend. Lei put quite a few items in a row without Peter's presence, including a food box, a pen, a new shirt, a girl doll, a baseball, a toy laptop, a camera, a book, some money etc. It is said that whatever order the baby at the age of 1 picks out of these things, it will determine his future preference in real life. In Yaya's case, after hanging around laptop for a second, she picked the food first, followed by the laptop and then something else. (I wish Yaya would still be so fond of food as she used to be, unfortunately that is not the case anymore) Anyway, when we exposed Peter to these stuff all at the same time, he simply gave attention to none of the items at all. Instead, with all of us waiting to see what he picks, he seemed to try amusing us by hanging around the room over and over again, but not even trying to get close to the site where the picks lay. Finally, when i already lost my patience and went into the kitchen, I was told that he picked the book and then the laptop, and the camera. Lei was so proud and claimed that his son would turn into a scientist one day, though he said he originally expected him to be a sportsman.
