Heart-breakers

Lei asked me to record that day--the last day of our kids in daycare. Not because it was so important, but because we were impressed by our daughter and son, how they can let people love them so much.

Yaya did not have a real goodbye party, but her teachers, even those who did not work on Friday and who went away for vacation, came in to say goodbye to her. Her favorite teacher-Patrick, even left me a note in her locker that he apologized for not being able to wait for me(he was on vacation) and gave me his personal email address. So on and so forth. After I got her and finally went out of the classroom, there were more unexpect hugs and wavings along the hallway. Furthmore, Yaya's friends, have left cards and gifts for her in the locker. Her best friend's mom even took a picture of those two girls and put in a frame held by a bear. I began to feel my eyes wetten.

Then downstairs in Peter's room, a party was ongoing for three babies including Peter. The other two were leaving soon after us. The new lead teacher bought the babies books, and we even got our portfolio---this is the best part i love to send a kid to school, you always see so many wonderful and amazing pictures about their school life all at the same time, with teacher's comments aside. Another teacher made some delicious India food and all the parents, teachers were having a fun time. I was so much touched that the director came in too, she has helped me a lot in finding new school for my kids and she once again wished us luck.

At the end of the day, Lei and I were carrying over three big bags full of different stuff, and two beloved kids home. We were so much amazed that our babies could get so much attention, though one might argue that it is because they are leaving... anyway, our kids are great, in Lei's words"they are heart-breakers".
