Even when she is tired...

Yesterday when i picked up the kids, i realized that both of them were tired. Yaya now basically completely gives up her school nap. It is OK as long as she can stay energetic till the end of the day. But on Tuesdays and Thursdays when they have swimming, most of the time she will act cranky once we get home around 5pm and need to go to bed early at night. Peter, on the other hand, didn't seem to rest as long as he usually does, it said that he woke up around 2:35pm after a brief nap on yesterday's sheet. Even worse, Lei happened to need to stay late for work. I could not let the kids go to bed until 7:30pm, otherwise they will wake up too early next morning. Knowing the situation i would have to face on my own, I decided to take them downstairs in the play room to kill some time. So, I fed them right after we arrived home, and both ate very well except that Peter made a big mess by playing with the food while eating. I have to change him while he's screaming and crying. Who knows why? This boy just hates to be changed ever since he was a newborn. We played in the playroom for almost 1 hr, of course with my very active involvement. They did have a good time. Then we went back home and calmed down a bit. By the time 7:20pm, obviously Peter could not hang on any longer, i decided to begin the bath. It always happens here in our house that whenever one child becomes cranky, the other one follows in right away. While i told Yaya it would not be possible for me to bathing them together as she required, and began to put Peter in the tub, I heard her sobbing and sniffing in the bedroom. Honestly, i felt very bad because i knew that she was tired too, but i just didn't know what else i could do except to let her wait for me to put Peter down. Then next thing i felt was that something was pushed under me. I turned around and noticed that Yaya actually got me a stool. She was trying to put it under my butt so that i didn't have to bend my knee on the floor. You know, i felt so touched at the moment and i always lose my tears whenever my little girl is so considerate and sweet.
