I am sure that boys and girls are different, but i never had any personal experience in this perspective until yesterday.

Peter finally began his real crawling, even though not so fast. Suddenly Yaya found so much fun playing with him, or showing him how to crawl faster. We were both in the kitchen when we began to be directed to them by their spontaneous laugh--they were communicating somehow and giggling a lot. The minute the loud laugh disappeared, i turned around to check on Peter, Oh, my gosh, he was already sitting in front of a power strip, pulling the cord of the cell phone recharger very tightly. The scene just looked so funny that this baby seemed to have been using his all strength to try to get to the cord's end or get the recharger out, i could not help but laugh myself. --Yeah, i know, it is time to baby-proof the house very carefully. (While in Yaya's case, we never worried that she would touch the outlet or anything, since she would always stick to mom's side and we were always assured that she was safe)

Then in the playroom, Peter, who used to sit and play with toys while keeping very close attention on me, yesterday, began to enjoy going around exploring by himself. After going and resting a few times, he finally made it to the slide. He sat up, put both his hands on the edges, after several seconds of re-arraging himself, he started to pull, pull and finally, he stood up! I was so excited--Yaya never did this before she could make sure that mommy was around and would help anytime she needed.
