Dance Recital

Rehearsal was last Thursday. Yaya had been waiting for that day too long that her excitement simply was contagious. Unfortunately, videotype and flash are not allowed, that was why we did not get any high quality real-time photos while she and her friends were on stage. But still, good enough to show some smile.




When her performance was done, she was waiting in line to have her pictures taken outside of the theater as all the other dancers did. I went up and told her that mommy chose not to have her do the picture thing this year, based on last year's not-so-good experience. Yaya was very good at going away from other kids, but later, she said:
--mama, I am not very happy.
--why? is it because you want to have your pictures taken?
--No, not really.
--Then what?
--Because I still want to get on the stage again, I really want to do the dance again...

Well, luckily she still had the recital. In Yaya's own words, "I did not remember anything about Friday because I want so much to get on the stage again...." Yaya, did a fabulous job throughout her performance.

As a side note,Peter was really involved too. When mommy was putting some makeups for Yaya before the recital, Peter refused to stay put and got a taste of lipstick too. :)
