Both kids made me something from school for this day-I thought that was enough for me to feel happy.
After lunch, I pushed both of them to bed and claimed that we would go to the zoo afterwards if they both take a nap. Soon, we were all out, which by the way, is not very common any more--most of the time we have no nap time on weekends. Anyway, after some time (~2hours),I started to feel that Yaya was waking up on my right side, I told her quietly "shhhhh, let your brother sleep a little more". Unlike usual, she was still trying to make some sound "mama, do you want me to sing you some song from school?" I was not fully awaken, and a little annoyed by her persistence, plus, Peter began to roll around. But she began to sing anyway.
I love her
she loves me
her name is mommy
m-o-m-m-y,
m-o-m-m-y,
her name is mommy-o!
Peter woke up happily, so did I.
--Thank you, Yaya!
--You are welcome. Do you want to hear me sing again?
This time, she not only repeated what she sang a minute ago, she also added:
I love him,
he loves me,
his name is daddy,
d-a-d-d-y, d-a-d-d-y,
his name is daddy-o!
Just for the record, the first part about "mom" was learned from teachers, while the second part, my girl composed it right at the moment she sang it.
Happy Mother's Day!
