First real conversation

Between Peter and me.

When I went out to the playground to find my son, the teacher began to describe to me about an incident happened five minutes ago. Before she finished, I heard "mommy!" and saw Peter running up to me with his arms wide open. Upon holding up by me, Peter told me "I fell" , though not so clearly. The teacher, was so excited to hear that Peter was telling me the incident too.

Then, like always, I asked,
--Did you have a good day?
--yeah.
--Did you have fun?
--yeah.
--what did you play?
--Outside.
--Did you play in the sandbox?
--No. climber.

I have been asking the same questions everyday, but for the first time Peter acturally carried on the conversation and answered all my questions. Though it sounds simple, I think it is quite extraordinary for a 25-month old to be able to do so.

On a side note, nowdays, Peter's favorite comment is "are you OK?" Sometimes, he simply trips on the ground and asks me then" are you OK?" Then when I tell him I am OK, he either repeats everything happened over and over again, or shouts out very excitedly "I am OK!!"

In the car, if he emits some sound, before I finish asking, he always claims "I am OK!"...
