I was almost running, to get into the daycare center at 5:50pm, 10 minutes before closing. This was the first time that I came so late. Obviously I was a bit nervous.
Peter, was quietly sitting on a kid's rocking chair, with four books (one in his hands and three behind his back). There's another girl in the room, standing against the window, waiting for her parents, I guess. "Peter!" I felt so bad. "What are you doing?" "He has been reading himself for quite a while."Answered Sarah, Peter's teacher, since Peter did not seem to lift his head up right away. "he has been taking his shoes off and putting them back on all by himself at least 20 times today, I guess he figure out another thing he can do himself...." The teacher continued to tell me about his day, while Peter, happily acknowledged the apprearance of mommy and put his books back on the shelf.
Yaya, on the other hand, was one of the three kids left in her room, sitting on the floor, reading with her teacher. Upon sitting in the car, Yaya said "mommy, can you pick me up everyday this late? please, please, please?...."
Well, I was speechless, or a little relaxed.
