1. The moment of living in the heaven
Friday night, I was sitting on the couch watching DVD with the kids.
Yaya: Mommy, when we went trick-or-treat on Halloween(God, she was still talking about it after days), I came home later than you and Peter, that's why I got a full basket of candies, blah, blah.... OK, that is my story, tell me your story about today.
Me: OK, mommy is so tired after working whole day. Also, I am a little upset.
Yaya: Why?
Me: Because today at work...
Right at the moment I finished complaining, Yaya turned around to me and wrapped her arms around me, patted on my back with one of her little palm and whispered to my ear "it's OK, mommy, it's OK...."
2. "Hot"
Whenever Peter gets close to the kitchen area or stove, I usually use a special tone and face to tell him "hot" to keep him away. Then sometimes when he's eating something above room temperture, he likes to say "hot" and waits for me to blow it till "not hot" before he continues to eat. This morning, I gave him some frozen yogurt in a bowl. Peter obviously somehow got a very big scoop, before I had to do anything about it, he already put the whole thing all in his mouth. Once his tougue touched upon, he withdrew right away because of the coldness, and said to me "hot".
3. "LLO" (He-llo)
Peter must have heard adults talking over the phone a lot. Nowdays whenever he sees someone holding a phone, he shouts "llo--o" and he asks to have the phone right away. So here comes the weekend calling parents in China part. Peter ran over and grabbed my phone before I began to talk to my mom, then he yelled " llo, llo," followed by "Lao-Lao" upon my reminding. My mom was first lost but then so thrilled that she got to talk to Peter.
4. "My ears hurt"
Lei did not know how he fell asleep on the living room floor while Peter and I were taking a nap. Yaya was quietly coloring on her desk. Suddenly Lei felt that someone was shaking his shoulder hard and he opened his eyes, half asleep. "daddy, my ears hurt" Yaya said. All of a sudden, Lei woke up and sat up. "What is wrong, are you feeling sick?" "no, my ears hurt because you were snoring"
