I need to go to UC yesterday for some training, while Lei happened to decide to go to a meeting at downtown Chicago. It was a unbelievably fantanstic coincidence, which means that we would be able to have lunch together without the kids!

Well, it turned out that my training finished before noon, by that time, Lei was still on his way to Chicago after shopping around all morning for the family. We ended up skipping his meeting and went to Chinatown for lunch together.

I could not even recall when was the last time that the two of us were having some fun time alone. We ate, and then went haircut for him, then did some shopping, later I cooked dinner, and we went to pick up the kids together.

Yaya was so happy and felt special that daddy could pick her up, while Peter, staring at Lei for quite some time, smiled.

It was obviously a long day though, because the whole family was sound sleep by the time of 9pm.
