Peter is leaping forward after the sickness went away.
Now he likes to imitate his sister a lot, like today, Yaya was sucking a popsicle and Peter went in the kitchen to ask for one right away. Then he returned the living room, requiring being put on the couch where Yaya was sitting. After a lick, he decided it was not the taste he liked and stopped eating, however, he would insist holding the popsicle in his hand like Yaya did. When Yaya was done with hers, he began to feed her by offering the popsicle right to her mouth for her to bite, then waiting and re-offering. Both of them enjoyed it, I guess. It was cute.
These two are into pushing their doll strollers these days. Almost every day now after school they will do so outdoors for a while. So today Yaya decided that she would play soccer for a change, Peter stopped his stroller the moment he saw Yaya out, turned back to me and said"ball"--we went back and got a ball.
It has been quite a while since last time Peter shown interest in being lifted up by daddy. Yesterday while we played on the lawn, Lei showed up from work. Both kids began to shout happily towards daddy. Lei pulled his arms in front, indicating that he would like to do some lift. Peter ran towards daddy and opened his arms. Lei held him up in the air and quickly retracted, and soon the whole air was filled with Peter's loud laugh. Then when it was Yaya's turn, Peter stood aside right by daddy's leg and stomped his feet over and over again, showing his impatience for waiting...Daddy was very happy that Peter was going back to him again.
Mutual communication is much better now with Peter. It is fun to watch him go away to get whatever mommy or daddy ordered and to find out that he understands so many instrunctions. Tonight Peter was still full of energy even at 7:30pm, but when i told him it was time for bath, he stretched his arm over to hold my hand. Then he went in front of me. When i went into the bathroom in darkness, i could not see whether he was there, I asked"where is peter?" at the same time, i turned on the light. There he was, a big smile at the bathtub. He was waiting and clearly he knew i would turn the light on. Then he was playing with a water gun and i tried to show him how to use it to spray water out, and honestly i did not expect him to be able to do it at all. While i was trying to put some cream on him after the bath, he began to shoot his own face with the water gun. It was amazing that he could do it, but it was even more fun to hear him giggling and see him enjoy himself.
