Yaya's words

I went to see my doctor for annual physcical and on the way back to work, i was able to stop by a store and bought some summer clothes for the kids. Later, when Yaya tried her dress on, she said" mommy, I love this dress, it is so pretty. Thank you for buying it for me." Then after a while, Yaya said to me"did you buy anything for you? No? Only me and Peter?" "You are so nice, you should have bought one for yourself.."

While I was dealing with Peter and put stuff down on the floor upon entering the house, I asked Yaya "Can you get mommy some water to drink? It is so hot". She went into the kitchen and came back with a glass of filtered water. Upon finish, she asked me if more is needed and i felt so thrilled to be served by my daughter.

I took the kids to shopping Friday afternoon after work. They were both staying in the shopping cart, looking around. Yaya offered to hold my wallet for me. While I was trying to remind her about the wallet, she asked:" why? Is there a thief in the store?""No, there might not be any thief, but still i don't want you to lose it.""how about monster department? Is there a thief there?" I don't know what is monster department, but was very amused by this name.

Yaya has been counting for her birthday for months. Finally it seems closer since i told her after the holiday and one day in school, it will be her B-day on Wednesday. Here's her comment, "Oh, that's great, I an gonna so love wednesday, because it will my birthday..." With that exaggerative look on her face.
