Funny yaya

The whole family went out to a mall this morning. We wanted to buy some dresses and thick tights for Yaya since these days she seemed to be very much into wearing dresses (despite the winter weather in Chicago). Following shopping, we stayed out for lunch. Then one minute before we drove into our garage, Yaya asked me"mommy, where are we going now?" "home"I said. Then, i noticed she closed her eyes. It was 1pm, and i was a little surprised that she wanted a nap, since usually on weekends, i have to force her into a nap around 2-3pm. Soon, I realized that she didn't really fall asleep, because you know, her closed eyes were still moving. Once in a while, she would try a peek. After acknowleging Lei about her little secret, Lei annouced in the car loudly, "You hold Peter, I will hold Yaya, OK?" Sure it is fine, I mean, our little girl obviously wanted to be held, but was not so comfortable to require. We carried them into the house, while i was putting Peter to bed, Lei put yaya onto the toilet. Funny Yaya, continuing with her play, soon peed with her head lying loosely on daddy's shoulder. Later, she fell into sleep, this time, for real though. We were so amuzed by yaya's pretending sleep and not-so-easy-to-tell intention.

There's one time before we had a similar experience. That was not long after Peter was born. I guess Yaya felt somehow she should not ask the tiring parents to hold her, but she wanted it so badly. When we parked the car that time, I was holding Peter, standing outside of the car, waiting for Lei to take stuff out of the trunk. Lei went into the car to get something and came back, smiling. He told me that when he walked to the door, he saw yaya turned her head very rapidly and began to lie backward to her carseat as if she was sleeping. That time, too, we satisfied our little girl by carrying her home. Once we put her into her bed, she could not hold it anymore and began to laugh out loudly...

Funny Yaya.
