Happy Halloween

Yaya had her first happy holloween--she really enjoyed it for the first time, thanks to Ir* and their whole family. On Sunday, Ir* arranged a party for Mi*'s friends, most of the kids were classmates of Yaya and Mi*'s at Y, some of kids are Mi*'s friends at home. It was a cold day, however, under hundreds of requests from Yaya, she was allowed to put on her costume-a sockhop girl from 50's, before we going to the party. Al*(dressed like a princess) was already there when we arrived and these two girls got together right away, giggling, making faces and running around. With more and more kids coming along, candy hunt began. All the kids were so excited and so were the parents. Ir* had to disperse more candies for the kids to seek. Despite of the coldness, everyone stayed in the yard for the whole afternoon with their costumes while the parents had to put coat on to stay warm.

So yesterday we were invited again to Mi*'s house--Ir* wanted Yaya to go trick-n'-treat with Mi*. We both agreed that we would stick to the original plan even though Mi* had a fever and stayed home with Ir* for the whole day. When I arrived with Peter, Ir* already dressed Yaya and Mi* up in their costumes (Ab* was already out with her friends) and were waiting for me. Within 5 minutes, we were out of the house. Yaya was so excited, even though it was not her neighborhood and she didn't really know what she should do. So the first couple houses, Mi* knocked on the door and said "trick or treat" upon De*'s help, then Yaya got in track right away. She began to run up to the door, rang the doorbell and said what she should say and picked her candies from the host's bucket... After walking 3 blocks, Mi* lost his interest and insisted we go home, and Yaya soon followed her friend with no problem at all. While we settled down in the house again, the bell rang. Some trick-or-treaters came! Both kids jumped up and ran to the door. Unexpectedly, they loved giving out candy better than asking for candies---a surprise for us. Then, we had to let them take turns treating the kids, since they were too anxious to run to the door and we got some accidents. The house was filled withMi* and Yaya's laugh for a while, even Peter, was able to get off me for sometime and watch them playing. After dinner, Ab* came home and those three played for another while and were so reluctant to say "Boodbye" to each other, or to the fun holiday.
